In Quanzhou during the Southern Song, the Lin family was framed and wrongfully condemned. The young heir, Lin Zhou, fled to a deserted island, where he had a fateful encounter with the fifty-eighth-generation descendant of Xu Fu and obtained a treasure beyond compare. Rescued and brought to the Kingdom of Ryukyu, he took the name Haishan Ke, settled at Haishan Residence, bought Haishan Island, and built the Haishan ship. Later, he sailed home aboard the divine vessel Haishan to repay a debt of gratitude and avenge past wrongs, beginning a tale passed down through the ages.
