[Historically Grounded Ensemble Cast | No Toxic Rivalry Between Women | Everyone Suffers]
Towering red walls cannot shut out the passions of the mortal world, but they can confine a lifetime of rises and falls.
In the final years of the Yongzheng reign, crabapple blossoms first bloom in the prince’s residence.
The Fuca clan of the Saci lineage, the Nara clan, the Gao clan, the Sujia clan, the Jin clan, the Weijia clan...
A group of women leave the courtyards of the prince’s mansion and enter the Forbidden City’s deep inner palace.
There is no ruthless scheming at every turn,
no senseless palace warfare to the death,
only fates beyond their control, affections impossible to fulfill within the palace walls, and regrets that leave them worlds apart.
From young couples in the prince’s residence to estrangement in the emperor’s palace,
from ascending to the highest rank of consort in a single day to the lonely moon left behind by a century of red walls.
They were once gentle and radiant, once full of hope,
but in the end, they all became a few brief lines in the history books, sinking into silence alongside this palace.
Once you enter the palace gates, the sea is deep. Within the red walls, everyone is caught in the game.
Good. Expect!
