When he was seven years old, an old Taoist priest passed by Heqiao Town and said that Nian An had immortal energy on his head and wanted to accept him as his apprentice.
His mother refused to die.
The old Taoist priest did not argue and left a piece of silver: "Let him choose by himself in three years."
Three years later, Nian An went up the mountain carrying his baggage.
He thought that practicing Taoism meant drawing talismans, chanting mantras, and flying with swords.
As a result, the master threw him a broom: "Starting from tomorrow, sweep the yard."
He swept the land for three years.
Sweeping until my mind is as calm as water, sweeping until I can feel the flow of Qi in my body for the first time.
Master said: "You can start to learn to watch Qi."
He saw that the clouds were breathing, the trees were glowing, and everyone's Qi was different.
He saw that his Qi was mixed--metal, wood, water, fire, and earth were mixed together, making it a mess.
"Miscellaneous spiritual roots. I can sense the five elements of spiritual energy, but I can't relate to any of them."
Nian'an asked the master: "Isn't that bad?"
The master did not answer, but pointed to an old locust tree in the yard:
"It doesn't pick up soil and can grow in the cracks of rocks. It doesn't grow the fastest, but it lives the longest."
Nian'an nodded in understanding.
Later he went down the mountain.
He accepted a half-demon disciple, saw the joys and sorrows of the world, and shouldered things that he shouldn't have shouldered.
He lost his master, his mother, and his favorite disciple.
Every time he lost, he thought he couldn't hold on anymore.
But he held on.
He became an earthly immortal.
If you don't enter heaven, if you don't ascend, you will remain on earth.
Someone asked him how he became an immortal.
He thought for a while and said, "I don't know. I just... Don't want to see other people suffer."

Very nice. I like to see Nian An practicing quietly, as if he can see what he sees [laughing] Thank you for presenting [top post]
