When Su Wan woke up, she found herself locked in a strange room. There are nine people with her - an entrepreneur, a doctor, a butcher, a policeman, a student, an anchor, an engineer, a grocer, and a psychiatrist. Wearing uniform pajamas, they were trapped in a building with no exit.
An electronic voice announced the rules: at twelve o'clock every day, one participant would disappear. The disappearing person must be alone in the room.
Fear, suspicion, and collapse ensue. Everyone has seen their disgraceful past in the files - illegal demolitions, organ transplants, torture to extract confessions, hit-and-runs... Are these crimes real? Or an implanted memory?
As the investigation deepened, Su Wan discovered that this building was far more than just the ground. Hidden in the three underground floors are hundreds of glass bottles containing biological samples, a core sphere pulsating with blue light, and a huge two-way mirror.
Behind the mirror, there is a person who looks exactly like her.
"You are me. Not me. You are my duplicate, specimen tenth, S-010."
It turns out that this experiment has been running for seven years. The real Su Wan - a genius lawyer and the designer of the experiment - sealed herself in the core system, waiting for someone who could make the right choice for her.
When the emergency protocol was activated and everyone would be "cleared" at midnight, Su Wan stood up.
"Use my life in exchange for theirs."
