Shen Jinghong, the son of a loyal and upright family, was framed by a treacherous minister as a child, and his entire family was wiped out. He was adopted by the aging head of an escort agency and lived under an assumed name, learning only basic martial arts. At eighteen, he entered the martial world for the first time and met Yun Qingluo, young mistress of the Devil Cult's Tianxiang Pavilion. A short sword and a jade hairpin sealed their love beneath the moonlight.
But the righteous and the wicked cannot coexist. When Yun Qingluo's identity was exposed, the righteous sects forced Shen Jinghong to turn against her. He refused, only to be falsely accused of being a Devil Cult spy, expelled from his sect, and left to wander the martial world. Yun Qingluo was forced to return amid internal strife within the cult, then pressured by the Blood Fiend Gang to marry. Their misunderstandings piled up until they parted ways at Heartbreak Cliff.
In a ruined temple in the wilderness, Shen Jinghong found the complete text of the Heart of Origin Sutra. His martial arts advanced by leaps and bounds, and he won fame by robbing the rich to help the poor. Yun Qingluo pretended to accept the marriage alliance, but secretly went alone into danger to destroy the Blood Fiend Gang. On the wedding day, Shen Jinghong charged into a thousand enemy troops. The two joined forces to kill their powerful foes, but Yun Qingluo was gravely wounded saving him and lost her memory.
Three years of companionship, while snow fell in silence. The day her memories returned, the shadows of their enemy, the Dark Shadow Society, emerged. Together, they cleared the Shen family's name and uprooted the martial world's scourges, but declined the court's rewards and retired to the southern mountains after washing their swords. Whenever chaos reigns, a dazzling figure appears: he robs corrupt officials, rescues the starving, then leaves without a trace, keeping his name and deeds hidden.
The great hero has no name, and the way of the chivalrous leaves no trace. Only that white jade hairpin shines quietly beneath the moonlight.
