I, Liang Jiahao, the Richest Man in School

Liang Jiahao is a teenage drama king with “acting like a big shot” practically encoded in his DNA. On the first day of school, he declares that he’ll become the most badass guy on campus, only to fail spectacularly at every turn: he gets stuck standing as punishment for reciting an ancient poem, trips and eats dirt while running, and gets the wrong answer on a math problem. Before long, he’s the laughingstock of the whole school. Then, when a gang of thugs corners him, the dormant “Jiahao Ghost” inside him awakens by accident. His unconscious aura of swagger makes the thugs snap to attention, and so begins his ridiculous, thrilling journey toward mastering the power of swagger.

The mysterious Teacher Wang reveals the truth behind the “Jiahao revival,” telling him that he was born with the fated Jiahao physique. The gates to the Five Great Theories of Jiahao swing open before him. From the slapstick disasters of practicing Swagger Flash, crashing into walls and shattering cups, to shocking the whole school by crossing the finish line 0.1 seconds ahead at the sports meet; from the agonizing struggle to hold back his urge to show off and build up his swagger points, to a stylish comeback with the Hundred Swagger Technique, Liang Jiahao switches seamlessly between over-the-top posturing and passionate battles.

As his powers grow, the loneliness of “Swagger’s Sorrow” quietly creeps in. The awe of his former friends and the distance kept by everyone else make him keenly feel the divide his Jiahao bloodline has brought. But Li Haoyu, a transfer student who is also a Jiahao, arrives with a scheme to let the Jiahao Ghost take over. He unleashes a virus at the school, plunging everyone into chaotic, uncontrollable showing off.

In the moment of crisis, only Liang Jiahao and his deskmate, Lin Xiao, escape unharmed. To save the teachers and students, he lets go of his obsession with showing off. With Lin Xiao protecting him, he grasps the true meaning of Immortal Swagger Mode and purifies the Jiahao Ghost with a supreme Swagger Flash that lasts 0.000000001 seconds, resolving the crisis. When Swagger’s Sorrow fades and the bonds he’s made heal his loneliness, the boy who was once a joke finally proves through his strength: “I, Liang Jiahao, really am the most badass guy in the whole school.”
