My name is Sun Wukong.
I once made a big fuss in the heavenly palace, once trampled on the sky to pieces, and once thought that the heaven and earth were up to me.
Later, I put on the tight band, collected my mind, and became a Buddha.
The world respects me, fears me, and praises me.
But only I know,
The monkey who dares to curse the sky, dare to rebel against the earth, and dares to say "I can't control my fate, but God",
He died long ago on the westbound journey.
Now I will reach nirvana,
No longer a Buddha, no longer a saint, just a dying monkey.
I write this book not for justification or revenge,
Just to tell those who come after you:
Some victories are the deepest defeats;
Some perfection is the most painful loss.
"Wukong"
Memoirs of the Victorious Buddha before his death,
Written for all those who have been smoothed by life.
