I think the biggest problem with this book is that the other princes are okay, but as the main subjects, Sun Ce and Cao Cao both have the problem of using only their own elders + core direct descendants. This makes it seem that the remaining people do not appear at all, so it seems that both forces have a problem of narrow employment. Therefore, the development and mining of our own manpower still feels a bit inferior.
Moreover, after Liu Bei was killed, there was no mention of those who were left behind him, not to mention what Jian Yong and Sun did, but people like Pang Tong, Xu Shu, Chen Dao and Zhou Cang seemed to have disappeared without further mention. In fact, if they want to avenge Liu Bei and turn to Cao Cao, then at least some of the Yuan family can turn to Sun Ce after Cao Cao destroys Yuan Shang. But if everyone in Pang Tong chooses to defect to Sun Ce, then Yuan Shang and others can either die in battle or defect to Cao Cao. Because the manpower comparison between the two sides seems to be a bit top-heavy, it can be balanced.
