This is an original full-length fantasy novel based on the world view of the game "Octopath Traveler".
Eight journeys, one seal, a story about "gazing".
Thousands of years ago, Galdra, the god of darkness among the thirteen gods, was sealed by the twelve gods. His power was divided into thirteen artifacts scattered across the continent, while his will fled into the deepest part of the world to sleep. Thousands of years later, the seal began to loosen, and those "hooded men" eroded by darkness moved quietly, trying to gather the lost fragments of will and reawaken the God of Darkness.
Eight travelers with different identities come together because of the intertwining of their respective destinies:
Scholar Silas met a ghost scholar who had been dead for hundreds of years in the underground archives, and heard a warning that should not be forgotten;
Dancer Primrose has lived incognito in the desert city for ten years, but the ancient blood of the "name-keeper" sleeps in her veins;
Hunter Heint followed his master's footsteps deep into the snowfield and discovered that a black liquid was eroding everything in the north;
Theresa, a businessman, reads the route to a "sea that is not a sea" from a diary soaked in seawater;
The thief Tyrion's silver coins are always turning over in his fingers. He has stolen countless treasures, but this time he has set his sights on a secret that should not be touched;
The ember of the holy fire guarded by the priest Ophelia is the only light that cannot be swallowed by the darkness;
After the fall of his country, the swordsman Obelik thought that all he had left in his life was revenge, until he swung a sword in the church on a snowy night;
Pharmacist Yafen travels across the mainland to save lives and heal the wounded, but discovers that some "diseases" cannot be cured by herbal medicines.
