I’m Kaelin Voss, heir to a pure-blood vampire lineage. My own mother kicked me off to Hogwarts to “broaden my horizons.”

On the train, I picked up a strange kid named Tom Riddle. He was all skin and bones under his ragged robes, and read books like he was chewing on them. As luck would have it, we ended up in the same dorm.

He stared at me for ages, then said something astonishing: “You drank my blood, so that means you agreed. You can’t take it back!”

Me: ??? When did I agree to anything?

But when I saw him obediently tilt his head and bare his neck, I sank my fangs in anyway.

Between us, his blood tastes ten thousand times better than the stockpile at home. I’ll never tell him, even if it kills me!
