A Secret Crush Hidden for Twelve Years

A KPL superstar x a sweet-romance novelist, twelve years of mutual devotion

Sweet-romance author Jiang Nan has had a crush on her childhood friend Zhou Chi for twelve whole years. Every male lead she writes is based on him.

Top-tier KPL player Zhou Chi has also been in love with Jiang Nan for twelve years. His game ID, “Zeus,” came from something she said as a girl: “Zeus sounds cool.”

The two reunite when one of her novels is adapted into an esports project. He acts aloof, while she acts polite, but each is hiding a heart that has been beating for the other for twelve years. At the finals, he answers the love words in her book with a blade-wielding hero, and the whole internet witnesses their mutual devotion.

From fourteen to twenty-six, from the balcony next door to the golden rain of confetti, they spend twelve years learning to be brave, then use the rest of their lives to prove that the best kind of love is mutual pining, childhood sweethearts, a perfect match, and finding out that the person you love has loved you for a very, very long time too.

So you had a crush on me too.
