Trapped in Flames tells of an intense journey of redemption, in which business tycoon Jin Ran and “traitor” Shen Yan move from hatred to love. Jin Ran is convinced Shen Yan is the culprit behind his father's death. Fueled by hatred, he keeps Shen Yan imprisoned at his side and subjects him to one torment after another, only to find that his “revenge” is gradually changing into something else. When the truth comes to light, it turns out Shen Yan's betrayal was a sacrifice he had been forced to make. Amid the ashes of their hatred, the two confront their true feelings and ultimately emerge from the abyss together, rebuilding trust and a deep love upon the scars.
