Modern toxicologist Shen Ci transmigrates into the body of the prime minister’s legitimate daughter, a noble consort disfigured by Consort Shu’s poison. She fights poison with poison to kill her enemy, develops secret medicines to regain the emperor’s favor, and stirs up the harem with her mastery of toxins. Emperor Xiao Yi is drawn to her and gives her his undivided affection, even abolishing the six palaces and bringing the court to heel for her. From an abandoned consort in the Cold Palace, she advances step by step, becoming the poison-wielding queen of the harem whom no one dares provoke. In the end, she is crowned empress and becomes the mother of the realm. Poison can kill, but it can also captivate the world.
