Book Transmigration: Winning Over the Villain Starts with Becoming His Master

This is the story of a former slacker programmer who uses a debugging mindset to keep himself alive, and inadvertently raises his fated villain into a clingy sweetheart. [Sweet Romance × A Snarky System × A Master Wins Over His Villainous Disciple × Mutual Salvation × Happy Ending] Gu Yan drops dead at his desk, then wakes up inside the cultivation novel he finished reading last night. He's become the hapless master who, through sheer laziness, drives his disciple into becoming a great demon, only to be run through the heart by a sword in the end. The System chimes into existence: [Hello, Host! Your disciple will kill you in 365 days. Please start winning him over as soon as possible!] Gu Yan: ...Win your own disciple over. His disciple, Shen Xuanye, has a Heavenly Spirit Root. He's cold and beautiful, and his gray-blue eyes seem capable of seeing right through a person. In the original story, he is bullied, neglected, and abandoned. In the end, he suffers a cultivation deviation, kills his master, betrays his sect, and dies at nineteen beneath the assault of thousands. Gu Yan opens the System panel. Current affection: -20. Well, that's a great start. He's already in the negatives. So this former wage slave begins his hell-difficulty journey to win over his disciple: He changes his cultivation methods, stops others from framing him, cooks congee and brings him warm charcoal, sets up formations to turn the tables... Every action is tangible, and every one finds its way into the heart of a boy who has never trusted anyone. But Gu Yan never expected this: He thinks he's completing a mission, while Shen Xuanye has already etched him into his very bones. Later, Shen Xuanye asks him with reddened eyes: "Master, are you kind to me because you mean it, or because you're completing a mission?" Gu Yan switches off the System and looks at him seriously. "It has nothing to do with the mission. I just love you."
