Childhood Sweetheart Takes the Lead: You Actually Want to Hit on Me?

Lin Xi never imagined her blind date would turn out to be Lu Jingyi, her longtime nemesis whom she hadn’t seen in years! Talk about running into an old enemy! After all these years, the guy still looks respectable on the outside and is just as irritating as ever! “Neither of us is seeing anyone. Why don’t we just settle for each other?” Lu Jingyi leans close to Lin Xi, grinning as he asks. “Settle for you? I’d be afraid you’d ruin my life!” “What are you afraid of? At worst, we’ll just screw each other over! Besides, do you have the energy to deal with endless blind dates?” Lin Xi ponders this. “Getting together is our best option. We’ll get past our parents first, then worry about the rest. If we can’t make it work, we can always get divorced!” Lu Jingyi folds his arms, looking completely at ease. “We’re both almost thirty. Why not get the marriage certificate first and get our families off our backs?” “Deal!” Lin Xi agrees at once. Only to discover that it’s an unfathomably deep pit, and once she falls in, there’s no climbing back out! Lin Xi snaps, “You tricked me!” “Wife... welcome to tricking me back!”
