At two in the morning, a convenience store is the quietest corner of the city, and the gateway to rules-based horror.
When wage worker Chen Mo took over a failing family-run convenience store, he discovered on his very first night that some of the customers cast no shadows on the security cameras.
A coin engraved with rules of death ushered in a string of eerie events. After awakening the “Rule Analysis” talent, he teamed up with his childhood friend Li Daniu, who could suppress anomalies with his bare body, and Lin Han, a genius Awakened who had gone rogue. Together, they formed the convenience store’s night watch squad.
Marbles rolling in an apartment building, a mirror haunting in an office tower, forbidden steps in an old residential compound… Every late-night request becomes a deadly game of rules, with their lives on the line.
While everyone else flees the anomalies, they keep the convenience store lights on, guarding the peace of ordinary people until dawn through the cracks in the rules.
