A chatterbox x a mute
Qi He is like a little white daisy, ordinary as can be, yet full of life.
Whether she's been adopted, left to fend for herself on the streets, or standing right beside the person she loves, she's always smiling.
With nowhere else to turn, she's tricked by a childhood friend into moving in with Fu Rao, her childhood sweetheart.
Fu Rao is the mayor's son and the youngest deputy division chief in government. He's quiet and keeps long hours.
She says she wants strawberries, and the next day there's a box in the fridge. He says casually, “They were buy one, get one free.”
She knows Fu Rao is destined for a different world from hers. People from different classes are never meant to end up together.
After graduating, she leaves Beijing, but a tiny bit of longing brings her back. Then her company screws her over.

Fu Rao hands in his resignation letter, sits on the steps outside his workplace with his tie half undone, and asks her:
“Qi He, would you still give me a chance?”
She stamps her foot. “Who confesses their love here of all places?!”
Content note: I prefer writing stories about women, so the novel is mainly from the heroine's point of view, with the male lead in a supporting role. My abilities are limited, so I can only write from one perspective. Please bear with me.
(Our Qi He is the cutest little ray of sunshine. Fu Rao, what have you done to deserve her?!)
