When a high-dimensional killing game known as the “Delusion Realm” descends upon the world, reality is carved up into desperate escape-room scenarios. A higher-dimensional being called the “Abyssal Visitor” feeds on human fear and struggle, coldly watching this live-action arena. Everyone is gripped by panic and struggling to survive, except Chu Wang, a university counselor dragged into the game, whose approach couldn’t be more different. Faced with a bizarre butcher with a blue-green face, fangs, and a chainsaw, Chu Wang calmly adjusts his glasses and pulls out a psychological assessment form. “Your family must have been pretty oppressive growing up, huh? Come on, tell me about your mother.” In these horrifying games of rules, rife with bloodshed and suffocating pressure, Chu Wang uses his ice-cold mind, deadpan humor, and utterly reckless antics to turn terrifying death traps into hilarious, stress-relieving therapy sessions. He exploits loopholes in the rules to run circles around the monsters, and even turns the lofty higher-dimensional spectators into his personal ATMs. As the scenarios grow more intense, Chu Wang gradually awakens from a powerless counselor into something more. He witnesses the faint sparks of humanity kindled in the selfish when all hope seems lost, and sees ordinary people stand defiant before the gods. In this ten-day maze of betrayal and lies, Chu Wang will carry humanity’s anthem and, with the most absurd madness imaginable, flip the board on the higher-dimensional gods.
