World champion Huang Xinya is reborn.
She returns from 2034 to 2026, carrying every memory from eight years as a professional player.
She’s ready to reclaim the top spot, only to discover that her entire deck is gone.
In its place is a woman who stepped out of a card.
Her name is Zheng Yuxuan. She’s lazy, hopelessly addicted to coffee, and can only exist for six hours a day.
She is one card. She is also forty cards. She is the only unit in Huang Xinya’s entire deck.
“Why are you every card in my deck?”
“Because I’m the only one who woke up in the data core. Is there a problem?”
Huang Xinya eventually realizes there is. A big one.
The Queen of Hearts isn’t the only one to awaken in the data core.
The King of Spades has chosen her rival. The Clubs and Diamonds are beginning to awaken.
And Zheng Yuxuan’s daily routine of sleeping in, mooching free coffee, setting the air conditioner to sixteen degrees, and playing KARDS on a sixty-five-inch TV...
She isn’t slacking off. This is her way of protecting the data core’s last safe zone.
“Will you stay in my deck forever?”
“I will. Until you crush every opponent, until KARDS shuts down, until you no longer need me.”
