It tells the story of the abandoned disciple Jiang Ye who unexpectedly merges the Taoist principles of the Tao Te Ching and the power of the crape myrtle constellations, and travels through the world of strange beasts in the Classic of Mountains and Seas, purifying the evil stars, repairing the sky, fighting against the Guixu Hall and Tao beasts, and finally realizing that "impermanence is the Tao" and creating the path of humanity.
