"The Ancient World in the Mirror" tells the story of Wang Jinyu, an ordinary man who touches an antique bronze mirror and unexpectedly breaks through the barriers of time and space. He can now travel between modern Earth and the vast ancient world of immortal cultivation, and his life is forever changed.
At first, he ventures into the other world alone. Later, he meets Yuan Hongyu, a disciple of the Liuyun Sect, and the two grow close. They are forced into a world-ending conspiracy that has been brewing for millennia. Amid sect rivalries and the demons' growing influence, they face danger at every turn while remaining true to their resolve to protect all living beings.
The demonic calamity arrives, shattering the land and leaving countless lives in ruin. Setting aside their differences, the two travel between worlds to unite their forces. They form an alliance to exterminate the demons and lay out a grand formation, bringing together cultivators from both worlds to fight the demonic disaster. Countless times they are trapped in deadly situations, grievously wounded and brought to the brink of death. Still, they use their flesh and blood to hold back the demonic tide, their souls and will to resist the apocalypse, and their lives as shields to protect billions.
In the final battle, Wang Jinyu uses his soul to draw upon the faith of all living beings. He merges with the mirror and takes control of the primordial chaos. Yuan Hongyu sees through the true essence of the Sword Dao and shatters the demonic core with a single strike. Together, they destroy the lingering soul of the Primordial Chaos Demon Lord and put an end to the demonic calamity that has plagued the world for millennia.
After the disaster is quelled, one becomes the Supreme of Chaos and the other the Sword Dao Empress. They establish order between the two worlds, raise the Liuyun Sect to the rank of supreme sect, and usher in a new era of coexistence. In the end, they cast aside their glory and retire to Liyun Mountain, where they spend their days together in peace. The ancient mirror at the heart of the worlds reflects both realms, bearing witness to their legendary protection, its light shining through the ages.
Beautiful, super beautiful.
