Records of Madmen in Wei and Jin Dynasties

The Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties lasted for more than 360 years, but more than 30 dynasties appeared in a revolving lantern. On average, a dynasty only lasted more than ten years, and this also led to the collapse of ethics in the entire society. The orthodoxy of Confucianism collapsed, metaphysics, Buddhism and Taoism became popular, and Hu and Han cultures were mixed together, and the whole world was in chaos. Therefore, almost everyone chose "epilepsy". Whether they were emperors, generals, ministers or celebrities, they all lived in "madness". Here, let's call them "Wei and Jin madmen" for the time being. The madness of emperors, generals and ministers hides the struggle for power and the distortion of human nature; the madness of celebrities and scholars hides the perseverance of character and the desire for freedom. In writing this book "Records of Mad Men in the Wei and Jin Dynasties", on the one hand, I don't want to just focus on celebrities, and I don't want to regard "crazy" as an exclusive label for celebrities. Instead, I want to combine the troubled background of the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and present to everyone the "crazy people and crazy things" of emperors, generals, ministers, and celebrities; On the other hand, I also hope to show the struggle and despair of all classes in that historical period when people were in dire straits from a different perspective. I hope that when everyone reads these stories, they can not only laugh at their absurdity and comedy, but also understand the sadness and perseverance behind them; they can not only see the darkness of troubled times, but also see some brilliance of human nature.
