The Chessboard of Basketball: The Wizard Coach

[Durant] [Multiple transmigrations] [Rebuilding] [No mindless power fantasy] Durant, Kobe, and Curry each build their own teams, setting the stage for a multi-sided battle for supremacy. At his peak, LeBron gives up without a fight, takes a pay cut, and joins forces with others to block the protagonist. The protagonist is a veteran basketball fan from 2026 who transmigrates into the body of the new head coach in 2006, grandson of the owner of the Washington Wizards. The team has just been eliminated by LeBron. Its Big Three are offensively gifted but undersized, and they’ve already hit their ceiling, making the first round of the playoffs year after year. He doesn’t rely on mindless wish fulfillment or become invincible overnight. He uses his knowledge of the NBA’s future to target one player: Kevin Durant. The story strictly follows league rules, realistic trade logic, salary-cap constraints, and authentic tactics. He rationally breaks down the roster, tanks in a controlled way, stockpiles draft picks, secures a franchise cornerstone, and develops rookies. Facing pressure from the media and management, he wagers five years of salary to make good on his promise. With hard-nosed basketball logic, he gradually turns a lopsided, bottom-tier team into a dynasty. A rigorous rebuilding story for true basketball fans.
