The Stand-In’s Lies

Wen Yining was Gu Yan's stand-in for three years.

It was because she looked like his beloved. She wore the colors his beloved liked, used her favorite perfume, and came whenever he called on her beloved's birthday. She told herself, “Don't fall for him. This is just a job.”

Until one day, after getting drunk, Gu Yan pinned her against a wall. His gaze was wild and desperate.

“Wen Yining, when are you finally going to look at me? I'm not Gu Yan. I'm his younger brother, Gu Huai.”

In a single night, her entire world collapsed

There was no beloved. Gu Yan had been using lies all along to keep her by his side.

The person she'd been flirting with had never been Gu Yan. It was Gu Huai, pretending to be his older brother.

The “love” she'd believed in for three years had been a lie from beginning to end.

But the truth didn't end there.

Another woman came to her with a stack of photos. They showed that Wen Yining had been in someone's sights since six years ago.

Stalking, secret photos, a forged identity, imprisonment in the name of love

At last, Wen Yining learned who the man was who had spent six years turning her into a “stand-in.”

And the mastermind behind it all was right behind her, smiling as she spoke the final words:

“Big sister, the game isn't over yet.”
