Pangu perished, and the clear qi became the sky while the turbid qi became the earth. The savage, baleful qi sank into the Great Wilderness, giving birth to the myriad beasts of the mountains and seas. The gods dwelled high in the heavens, watching coldly as humanity became their prey. The Four Fiends ran rampant across the primordial world, where the only rule was survival of the fittest.
The sages of humanity defied Heaven and forged a vessel using mortal bodies as the crucible, fusing the essence and blood of myriad beasts into one to create a taboo physique: Xuan Ye. He carries the bloodlines of countless fiends within him. With a single thought, he can shake the mountains and seas; with a single move, he can make the gods take notice. His path ahead is beset by Heaven's pursuit, the backlash of ferocious beasts, and betrayal by his own kind. At his side are only the bonds of a spark, white-robed chaos, and the breath of plants and trees.
He does not claim to be a god, nor does he run with beasts. With a mortal heart, he subdues countless bloodlines; alone, he defies the heavens and turns the world around. When blood floods the Guixu and his fearsome might subdues the world, all will understand: with his arrival, the mountains and seas belong to no one. He alone is their blood sovereign.
