The story focuses on Shu Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina, who have established a relationship and live together outside of school. After entering college, Zhou tried to get rid of the label of "taken care of loser" and clumsily sought independence in science and engineering studies and part-time work; while Mahiru continued to play the perfect "angel" and gentle lover in the elegant life of the literature department, but had to face the increasingly pressing "marriage" pressure from her native family.
If the high school chapter is about two lonely souls getting closer to each other, then the college chapter is a "preview of married life" where the two people face social reality, family pressure and self-growth together after establishing a relationship.
