The Angel Next Door: College Years

The story focuses on Fujimiya Amane and Shiina Mahiru, who are already dating and living together off campus. After starting university, Amane tries to shed his “good-for-nothing who needs looking after” image, clumsily seeking independence through his science and engineering studies and part-time work. Meanwhile, Mahiru continues to play the perfect “angel” and loving girlfriend amid the graceful life of a literature student, but she must also face the increasingly urgent pressure from her birth family to enter an arranged marriage.

If the high school arc was about two lonely souls drawing closer, then the university arc is a preview of married life: now that they've established their relationship, the two face social realities, family pressure, and the challenge of growing as individuals together.
