Fang Shu remembered that afternoon. The last Rider watch had clicked into place on the display shelf in his rented apartment. Twenty watches, three years of collecting, finally complete.

Then white light swallowed everything.

When he woke, he was sprawled in unfamiliar ruins beneath a low, gray-yellow sky. In the distance, the wreckage of a steel behemoth lay across the horizon. A silver-white mechanical watch had appeared on his left wrist. Its dial was black, its hands still.

Originium, the Infected, mobile cities: this was Terra.

And the time was the Babel era. The Doctor had just been awakened, Theresa was still researching ways to reverse Originium, and the light had yet to leave Kal'tsit's eyes.

Fang Shu knew this was only the beginning. Babel would fall, Theresa would be assassinated, the Doctor would lose their memories, Talulah would be consumed by the Black Snake, and FrostNova would fall on the snowy plains. This land held too many tragedies, too many things that happened “too late.”

But he carried the power of twenty Kamen Riders.

Twenty years, twenty people. Their wills were sealed inside his watch.

When Theresa fell, Ghost's power would gather her soul into an Eyecon. When Alina faced death, Fang Shu would step in front of the blade. When the Black Snake whispered, he would stand before Talulah and say, “She will not give in.”

This is not a story about being invincible. It's a story about making it in time.
