The universe is an iterative process. The world of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" is the remaining garbled code and corpses of the previous "Tianma·Anhuang Beta" that was formatted and deleted. Today's Shenzhou is a "Tianma System" that has been running for three thousand years. The system is becoming increasingly bloated and bugs occur frequently (natural and man-made disasters). Gods, humans, and demons are all trapped in it and cannot be liberated.
