I Phone It In on a Dating Show, and My Ex-Wife Shows Up with Our Child

Lin Xian was once the ultimate overachiever. Before turning twenty-two, he casually helped five close female friends rise to the top of their respective fields.

After achieving fame and success, he finally saw the light: life is short, so why not take it easy? He promptly broke up with them all and went into hiding.

Looking for an easy way to get by, he joins a wildly popular dating show as an ordinary contestant.

The other male contestants go all out, showing off their luxury cars and talents and desperately trying to impress the women.

Lin Xian: sleeping on the rooftop, wolfberries steeping in my thermos, and absolutely no effort to look good.

But who could have guessed that the more he slacked off, the more popular he became? His offhand, gloomy one-liners went viral, and even his casual displays of talent left the show's elite looking hopelessly outclassed.

Every female contestant fell for him, and viewers flooded the comments with, “He's so swoon-worthy!”

Just as Lin Xian was preparing to make an excuse to get eliminated and go home, a three-and-a-half-year-old cutie suddenly rushed onto the live set, wrapped her arms around his leg, and shouted, “Daddy!”

Then a trillion-yuan female CEO, a film empress, a Chinese pop diva... His exes, the women he'd abandoned, formed an “Ex-Wives Alliance” and showed up one after another to corner him on the dating show.

The male contestants were crushed: “The goddesses we're not worthy of are lining up to throw themselves at this dad who does nothing but sleep?!”

Lin Xian sighed. “I really just want to take it easy! Please, don't come near me!”
