The Five Gallants: A Complete Retelling

This book is a complete modern vernacular edition, collated and punctuated, of the long chivalric storytelling tales The Five Young Gallants and Sequel to The Five Young Gallants. Written by Shi Yukun, a late Qing storyteller, they build on the chivalrous tradition of The Three Heroes and Five Gallants, using the brisk, action-driven style of short martial tales as their foundation.
