The CEO and Her Driver

Yu Lan was a celebrated curator in the capital, a woman who wore a bright red Birkin with eight-centimeter heels and always got her way.

Chen Yan was a discharged soldier with steel pins in his knee. His resume stated in plain terms: Does not affect daily driving.

She hired him as her driver, never imagining what would come after.

Until one rainy night, from the back seat, she asked, "Chen Yan, do you like me?"

He said yes.

She said, "Then quit your job and pursue me."

This is a story about drawing closer. It moves slowly, but steadily.
