The Seventh Silence: A Woman’s Case Files of a PhD in Psychology

Gu Nanzhi, female lead

Age: 32

Occupation: Specially appointed criminal psychology consultant for the provincial public security system, associate professor at a university’s psychology department, and holds dual doctorates in clinical and forensic psychology

She specializes in finding the truth in lies, trauma, and silence.

In her view, corpses cannot speak, but the living have countless ways to conceal the truth.

From a livestreamer found in a bathroom staged as a “self-trial,” to a witness in an old case who fell to her death;

from a housekeeper whom an entire apartment complex seemed to have forgotten, to brides who die one after another before their weddings;

behind every murder lies an act of psychological manipulation.

Forensic pathologist Lin Shubai

He corrects the dead’s final lies, while detective Zhou Yu hunts down the killer in the real world.

Gu Nanzhi is responsible for venturing somewhere far more dangerous: the human mind.
