Dying at the Start, I Become Impossibly Underhanded with the Occult

[Occult mysteries + subverting expectations + no System + ruthless protagonist + dark humor + a cast of schemers + one heroine]

I died.

I wandered into an occult world and was killed by a trick before I could even get my bearings. I dropped dead on the spot.

The good news: I'm alive.

The bad news: Everyone in this world is a master schemer. Controlling time, rewriting reality, killing through causality, and resurrecting endlessly are all commonplace.

They scheme without a hint of shame, and come up with every trick under the sun.

The even worse news: Various occult organizations have been fighting in the shadows for over a century, passing knives beneath the table and looking ready to tear each other apart.

And one of them has already set its sights on me, a rookie who's only just come back to life.

Then I discovered what my golden finger does after resurrection:

Whatever I consider unreasonable, reality rejects. Whatever I consider reasonable, reality makes happen.

Time stop? I reject it. Time starts again, and the time stop gets pinned back onto its user.

Causality manipulation? I reject it. The alteration rebounds, and he ends up in his own coffin.

Erasing someone's existence? I reject it. The erasure reverses, and he becomes a person who never existed.

Other people's abilities may be outrageously underhanded, but I'm even more devious!
