The Concubines’ Struggle for Power

Shen Zhijuan, the legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Zhennan's household, enters the palace to be considered as a concubine.

The Empress Dowager wants to target her father and brothers, while the Emperor wants to test how sincere she is.

She wears a sweet, obedient smile, yet on their first night together, she keeps the Emperor awake with her chatter.

Shen Zhijuan says, "I have no particular ambition, Your Majesty. I only wish to learn the rules properly."

Once she has mastered the rules, it's time for this palace to learn hers.
