[Mount & Blade-style stats + Western setting + no holier-than-thou protagonist + somewhat villainous + no female lead + satisfying battles + colonization + world conquest]
Gu Shan transmigrates to an era resembling the Western Middle Ages.
Here, pirates swarm like locusts, leaving coastal villages almost entirely deserted.
The noble lords have flour fights in their castles, scattering white flour over their sable coats. Their laughter passes through thick stone walls and reaches the ears of beggars freezing to death outside.
One such beggar huddles beside the moat, still clutching half a moldy loaf of bread.
The missionary beside him only watches with cold indifference.
Gu Shan has no moral qualms, only a cold, impersonal System and one principle: every action must put the interests of his people first.
On the first day after transmigrating, the Norsemen tie him beside a bonfire and nearly roast him alive to eat.
He ambushes a tax collector's caravan on a narrow, winding road, crushing it with rolling boulders.
When a fanatical bishop curses him in God's name, he draws his saber and asks a question that plunges the entire church into dead silence:
“How many heavy cavalrymen does God have?”
He goes from a captive tied beside a bonfire to Baron of Verona, appointed by the Earl of Norsvik.
He burns the strongholds of several jarls across the continent of Normania and stacks their heads atop a mound of the slain.
A year later, at the head of tens of thousands of prisoners swept up as he crushed his way down from the empire's north, he lays siege to the imperial capital.
Overall, it's okay, but after reading the introduction, I thought I was going to be blamed for the troubled times, but ended up summoning Han soldiers to be bandits, which is hard to break down. I saw some people's anti-human comments, so I responded. If you think that humans from other countries or uneducated humans are not human beings, then you who learned from Western colonists are not qualified to talk to me. If primitive accumulation relies on indiscriminate killing of innocent people, then this protagonist with a system would be too much of a waste. Whether it is killing corrupt officials and robbers, arranging a safe territory for farming and development, or other development methods, it is much better than killing innocent people indiscriminately. No force can continue to kill innocent people indiscriminately and still develop for a long time. This is a novel that summons Han soldiers, and the aboriginal people are other races. So fundamentally speaking, if you want to establish a country or develop a territory in the future, these aboriginal people are indispensable. But if you, an outsider, kill their innocent local citizens, a rebellion will break out later. You will arrange thunderous means to suppress it or give good policies to appease the people, or you will not write about the rebellion at all. But in any case, this will be a big poisonous point in the later stage.
I have read more than 30 chapters now. The protagonist is very decisive and decisive, and the writing style is relatively realistic. It is not bad. However, I think that in addition to the weapon proficiency, a proficiency such as command can be added. After all, the protagonist is an ordinary person without some skills such as command or golden finger bonus. It feels that it is difficult to compete with a real general who has received military education in a short period of time. In addition, I think the dialogue between the protagonist's subordinates and the protagonist can be modified to be more respectful, such as calling them adults. Now it feels like they are talking to passers-by, and there is no feeling of dialogue with the general or the lord. In addition, with the baron's escaped wife and daughter, the protagonist met all men before and killed them all every time. However, when he met a few women for the first time, he just let them go. Although it felt like it might be a foreshadowing, it felt like there was a division. It felt like the men would kill the women and let them go. However, the writing is not bad, the pace is good, and it has great potential. I feel it can get at least 8.5 Points. It's hard to read the rest of it. There are too many long paragraphs of descriptions. I feel that online novels should be divided into paragraphs more neatly. One or two sentences should be followed by the next paragraph. Then there are too many descriptions of environment and objects. It looks very tiring and it is difficult to read.
This book is the only one I have read here that I think conforms to the historical development patterns of Chinese wars. Many people think that in ancient times, if you provided food and weapons, others would sacrifice their lives for you. This is really too naive. They are mercenaries. Some people always think that if you lose a war, you just need to surrender. Why do so many people in history refuse to surrender until they die? Surrender, because surrender is more terrifying than death. The war scenes described in history books can be seen in this book. The author is afraid that everyone will not understand, and always asks everyone if they can accept it. Just like when I saw Cao Cao turning people into food, I felt the same way. In fact, real war is much crueler than what is described in this book. Five-star good book
Four-star real person, I guess that's pretty good for a bookworm over 20 years old, keep it up, it's better than 95% of Tomato's books at the moment.
Not bad, please update
It looks good. I like to develop slowly when playing Mount and Blade.
Become stronger quickly! The Far East needs it!
The writing is indeed good, and there are many books on horseback and slashing that need to be written well.
So far so good
I read it in one go, it's pretty good and worth looking forward to
