In ancient times, strange events occurred frequently in the wilderness tribe where chaos first emerged: livestock disappeared mysteriously, inhuman howls were heard at night, and sacrificial totems broke apart for no reason. In order to protect the tribe, young hunter Ahu (strong, careful, and good at tracking) forms a "funny detective trio" with the mysterious herbalist Lingyue (who knows spells but is afraid of bugs) and the honest stonemason Da Zhuang (who can move boulders but always steps into traps). They go deep into the ruins of the forbidden area, encounter skeleton soldiers who tell jokes, tree spirits who love pranks, and drunken river gods. They gradually uncover the truth behind the theft of the "Heart of Chaos" - the man behind the scenes is actually an ancient evil spirit colluded with the tribal elders to resurrect their dead wives. In the end, the three of them used "funny tactics" (such as Da Zhuang using huge rocks to knock out his own people, and Lingyue using itchy powder to deal with monsters) to resolve the crisis and protect the peace of the wilderness.
