Li Er: Father, That’s Not How You Abdicate!

[Farming + comedy + daily life + strengthening the nation]

I’ve become Li Yuan, founding emperor of the Tang!

I break into a cold sweat when I see the date on the memorial: “Third day of the sixth month of the ninth year of Wude.”

Tomorrow is the infamous Xuanwu Gate Incident, recorded in the history books!

The emperor of the ages, Li Shimin, and his whole crew are coming to send his elder brother and younger brother on their way, and then “retire” me too?

This script won’t do! I summon Li Shimin in the middle of the night and slap the imperial seal into his arms. “Erlang, the throne is yours! Your father just wants to retire!”

Li Shimin and the generals of the Palace of the Heavenly Strategy are dumbfounded. “Father, what kind of act are you putting on?”

From then on, the Tang has an unconventional retired emperor.
