Great Qin: I Led the Rebellion, and Brother Zheng Was Delighted

After transmigrating to the Qin Empire, Su Chen knows full well that the Qin will fall in its second generation. To save his life, he keeps a low profile outside Xianyang, frantically stockpiling grain and making gunpowder while preparing for rebellion day and night.

One day, a down-on-his-luck merchant calling himself “Old Zhao” wanders into his manor.

Seeing how wealthy he looks, Su Chen immediately tries to rope him in. “Old Zhao, the Qin Empire is about to fall! Let’s join forces and rebel! Look, this is a musket, and those are potatoes. With these, the two of us can split the empire between us!”

Old Zhao’s eyes light up. Not only does he keep quiet, he pours money into the venture and even sends his most beloved daughter to become Su Chen’s child bride.

Overjoyed, Su Chen thinks he’s found the biggest sucker alive. Every day, he teaches him military tactics for rebellion and the basics of modern governance.

Three years later, gazing at the thirty thousand fully armed musketeers he has trained from scratch, Su Chen beams with confidence.

“Old Zhao, the secret’s out! The time has come. Today, we march into Xianyang and behead the tyrant Ying Zheng!”

Old Zhao smiles faintly, then throws on a black dragon emperor’s robe. Behind him, a million Qin cavalrymen drop to their knees in unison.

Old Zhao throws back his head and laughs. “Your servant Ying Zheng welcomes the Imperial Tutor back into the fold. Come, let us conquer the whole world!”

Su Chen is dumbfounded. “Holy crap! I led a rebellion, and my partner turned out to be Qin Shi Huang?!”
