Who still remembers Hu Tutu, with his trademark big ears and his one-of-a-kind ear-wiggling kung fu?
This year, I, Hu Tutu, am one year out of college.
I chose screenwriting, the major I loved, with a heart full of passion. I wanted to write stories filled with warmth, but reality knocked me flat. Capital trampled my scripts underfoot. Even after more than a dozen revisions, they were still dismissed as worthless, and I became the most overlooked, down-and-out little screenwriter in the industry.
Xiaomei, my girlfriend back then, broke up with me on the day of graduation. She said she couldn’t see any future with someone like me, who had nothing and only knew how to hold on to his original ideals.
Even the ear-wiggling trick I could do so easily as a kid no longer seemed worth trying after one setback after another.
Just as I was squatting on the street, chewing on a cold bun and nearly giving up on my screenwriting dream for good, Zhang Shuaizi, a spirited and capable woman, kicked open the door to my rented room and yelled me out of my slump: “Hu Tutu, where did your backbone go?”
Zhuangzhuang, my childhood friend who had long since become an industry star, showed up, along with the kindhearted Dahu, the gentle and sensitive Wangzi, the cheerful and sunny Yangyang, the careful and steady Kuaikuai, and the inseparable Dalong and Erlong. Every one of my childhood friends rallied around me!
Grandpa Niu, stern on the outside but warmhearted underneath, brought over a hot meal. My parents quietly gave me everything they had to support me...
Sorry, but I, Hu Tutu, have the confidence of an entire childhood behind me, and all my friends and family have my back!
This time, I’ll stick to my ideals and write scripts full of warmth, facing down every doubter and rising to the top!
I’ll make peace with the love I lost, hold tight to the friends by my side, and finally bring the joy of childhood together with the glory of adulthood!
A very good book. Big Ears Tutu is my best childhood memory. Planting grass,
This book captures the spirit of the clouds, so don't leave too many words, for fear that the clear flow will be tainted with turbidity, and the new energy will be obscured in the extreme Yin. Just leave a thumbs up for this - beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!
A very good book, Hu Tutu. How many people have memories of their youth. I'm very curious about what will happen next. Big ears tutu. Forever classic
The writing is good, but is Tutu really reduced to this?
🥺 Ye Qinghui, I really feel sorry for Tutu at the beginning. The child I like should get better and better, and become a god as soon as possible.
Seeing Hu Tutu reminds me of our childhood
