A hundred years later, Jin City, the hometown of the protagonist Long Chen, was attacked by a beast tide led by a level-nine ferocious beast. Long Chen’s parents, aunts, and uncles served as Jin City’s guardians and fought the exotic beasts to the bitter end. They all died for their country, a family of heroes worthy of the name.
Long Chen and his childhood friend Jiang Muyao escaped Jin City. With no one to rely on, they struggled to make their way in the world, protecting each other as they rose step by step from ordinary people to the pinnacle of the world.
