Lu Yunjian x Zhou Ruoyu
A cold, lonely heroine at the pinnacle of power and privilege x a playboy hero (she hurts him)
“She stood at the summit of power and influence. I looked up at her from the mud.”
Zhou Ruoyu was once the capital's most famous playboy, living for pleasure and never letting anyone get close.
That is, until he met Lu Yunjian at the Amber Bar.
The queen rumored to hold sway over both the underworld and the legitimate world, with the nation's greatest assets in her hands.
He tried every charm in his arsenal, but she didn't even lift her eyelids.
He offered her the priceless “Tears of Deep Space” and proposed to her in a Swiss castle.
She said, “You're too dirty for me.”
That night, every bit of his pride crumbled to dust.
“Later, I was reborn in the desert winds, and grew strong amid the ruins of war.”
“We are bound together by a life-and-death contract. More deeply than love, more tightly than fate.”
Giving five stars is the best work to cherish. In fact, objectively speaking, I may only be able to give four stars, but he is already good enough. What I think is better about this book is that he abandons the particularly intense gaze of traditional narratives. Of course, it may simply be because the identity of the two protagonists in the book is too different and there is no necessary connection at all, so there is very little interaction, and naturally there is no sense of staring. Of course, this book is not perfect, and there are many small flaws and shortcomings, but I don't want to talk about these. I want to talk about some of the things that made me like this book. First, it abandons the habit of traditional romance novels in which men are in a higher position and women are in a lower position (including the hypocritical one, which seems to be abandoned, but the stench still wafts from the lines). This can be said to be a highlight of the whole book. Second, the role arrangement of the male protagonist is very dramatic. He plays a character that I "love and hate" in the book. The author has written his character very well. He is a narcissistic, paranoid, and spoiled man. His acting personality and self-motivation are vividly reflected in him. In the plot, the male protagonist's desire is accumulated bit by bit. Coincidences and misunderstandings time and time again (or the female protagonist's unintentional use and disregard) push the male protagonist to a high platform built of lies and fantasies. When the high platform is built to a certain height, the male protagonist's That kind of self-confidence and desire finally exploded, and then the heroine appeared at the right time, like discarding a casually used handkerchief, breaking the male protagonist's fantasy, causing the male protagonist to fall from the high platform, completely falling back to the starting point, even more embarrassed than before. This is a very exciting point. Although it took a long time to prepare for it, it can be regarded as pushing the plot to a climax and turning point. Third, the heroine is crisp and clear, as well as the embodiment of her "deification" and "humanity". The author uses two perspectives to take us to appreciate the personality charm of the heroine. One is the omniscience and omnipotence from the perspective of God, which allowed me to see the "human" side of the heroine. A wise person is rational, calm, stable and reliable, but also shows some emotions at the right time, such as the night after the nightingale died and allowed himself to indulge in sadness. The other is from the perspective of the male protagonist, allowing us to see the charming side of the female protagonist, how attractive she is, because the dimensional gap between the male protagonist and the female protagonist is so big that every time the male protagonist comes into contact with the female protagonist, it is like a human being has met a god, which makes me feel the "deified" side of the female protagonist. A mysterious almighty, with scars full of stories on his body, always stable emotions, always cold replies, always reliable methods. Every confrontation and encounter of the male protagonist makes the male protagonist and us in front of the screen deeply feel a wall. It is a wall that is invisible and intangible, but is everywhere. The real cruelty of this wall does not lie in isolation, but in its disregard. It only shows a trace of compassion for the inferiors on a few occasions, but then quickly withdraws it. The male protagonist still knows nothing about the female protagonist, he is a veritable blind man, and the female protagonist still does not take the male protagonist seriously. What probably surprised me the most was that I thought the author would come up with an ending after the male protagonist was completely frustrated, but no, the male protagonist didn't seem to give up, or the author didn't intend to give up, but chose to continue the story, which I didn't expect. I thought the story would end here, and I couldn't imagine how the male protagonist could pursue the female protagonist, so I'm still looking forward to the author's next writing. Compared with the narcissism and self-impression of the male protagonist in the first part, which turned into a joke after being completely torn apart by the female protagonist at the end, there should be a big change in the second part, and the male protagonist should grow a lot. According to the author's quotation, it is very likely that the heroine revealed a more human side, and the hero also took the opportunity to find a crack in the heroine's heart. The relationship between the two finally began to take the first step of development. Of course, these are just speculations. I am still quite curious about how the author can write it so that the heroine and the hero can develop an emotional relationship in a reasonable and non-embarrassing way, without violating the plot of the first part or the character and characteristics of the heroine. Therefore, I am looking forward to the author's next update. We will see you there in the future.
This novel is very good. It breaks away from the traditional novel plot and is very novel. Although it is a romance novel, I think it is very realistic. People with big status gaps and different classes find it difficult to get together. Although it has an open ending and the male protagonist has grown up, I think it is impossible for them to be together. Moreover, the male protagonist in this novel is actually very similar to some playboy-like male protagonists in other female videos. The author writes from a different perspective and gives people different feelings. The author's explanation of the male protagonist's behavior can also be adapted to other similar characters. In fact, I think the female protagonist in this novel is like the male protagonist in other novels. Some of her actions are not done for the male protagonist, but just incidentally, but the male protagonist will think that she is special. Just like the male protagonist in many other novels, in fact, he does not treat the female protagonist specially, but just incidentally, minimizing the harm to his own interests, and the female protagonist will also feel that she is valued. Throughout the novel, the male protagonist never enters the female protagonist's world and has no idea what she does. In fact, like the female protagonists in other novels, she only falls in love with the male protagonist and does not enter her world, creating an unequal relationship. This is my first time writing a book review. The language may be a little confusing and pale. Please understand. But this novel is indeed different from other novels I have read. I recommend everyone to read it😘 This novel also shows that class is something that is difficult to transcend. People and things beyond your own class cannot be handled by your own abilities. You still have to think carefully before doing things.
It's good to have the heroine's name first
