A luminous butterfly bobbed up and down in the wind.
Then it gently beat its wings and landed on someone's forehead.
“Hmm...” Chen Chen rubbed his forehead, looking confused. The brightness stinging his eyes made him uncomfortable.
“Hello, stranger.”
A clear, crisp voice rang out. Chen Chen turned and saw a humanoid figure radiating light from head to toe.
Chen Chen: ???
“May I ask where this is?” Suppressing his unease and his questions about his missing gear, he forced himself to speak.
“Sorry. I sensed something unusual over here and thought it was another dark creature that had appeared from who knows where.” As it spoke, the figure dispelled its halo.
Beneath it were a long cloak and a mask.
“Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Tang, of the Lightborn.” Tang bowed.
“Hello. Chen Chen, of the Human race.”
Chen Chen bowed like Tang had.
“It seems your people have a civilization of your own,” Tang said.
“Could you tell me where this is?” Chen Chen tried to use his universal brain-computer interface to make contact, but no matter what he did, he couldn't sense it at all.
“This is Cloudwild. I have to say, you're very lucky,” Tang remarked.
Chen Chen was at a loss. He'd been carrying out a mission when it felt as if someone had hit him over the head with a club. He lost consciousness, and when he woke up, he was in this strange place.
