Flyman: Wasteland Maintenance Worker
core settings
* World view: New Chang'an City, a cyber wasteland monopolized by plutocrats and high technology. The despair of the slums is concealed under the neon lights, genetic modification technology is rampant, and low-level humans coexist with mutant creatures.
* Core conflict: Chen Mo, who was transformed into the "Fly God" experimental subject, struggled to survive between human nature and bestiality; hacker genius A Ye grew from a protected person to a guardian, fighting against the cold system of the Federation.
* Creative highlights:
* Anti-hero setting: The protagonist is not a superhero in the traditional sense, but a "monster" with bio-horror colors, hiding in the market as a maintenance worker.
* Integration of machinery and flesh and blood: From genetic mutation to mechanical ascension to consciousness uploading, explore the multiple possibilities of life forms.
* Dual protagonist inheritance: Chen Mo is responsible for force and sacrifice, Aye is responsible for technology and inheritance, and two generations of "Fly Man" bridge the bond of life and death.
Story summary
Chen Mo, an underground maintenance worker in New Chang'an City, was accidentally infected with "void bacteria" and was forced to undergo transformation, becoming E-01, a half-human, half-animal experimental subject with fly genes. During the years of escaping and fighting, he rescued the wandering child A Ye, and the two depended on each other in the ruins. In order to completely end the virus crisis, Chen Mo chose to sacrifice his body, upload his consciousness to the cloud, and become a digital ghost guarding the city. Five years later, Aye inherited Chen Mo's will and technology, drove a mechanical armor, and continued to write under the name of "New Fly Man" amid the pursuit of the federation and the shadow of the city.
