Guarding Chang'an Through the Night

Do you believe every city has its own guardian? My name is Lu Chang’an. I’m a history student and a parkour enthusiast. I used to think that protecting a city was the job of the police and firefighters, and had nothing to do with me. Then, one day, I saw something that shouldn’t exist inside an abandoned City God temple. That was where it all began. Later, someone told me the world was far bigger than we imagined. There are City Gods in the human realm, the Night Patrol Bureau in Guixu, and strange beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas in the Great Wilderness. And something called “Chaos” is beginning to awaken. This is the story of how I became Si Wei, a night-roaming god. It is also the story of how I learned to protect a city, a person, and a promise.
