The Deranged Boss Keeps Me Under Lock and Key, While His Runaway Puppy Cries

On the night of Yu Bai’s twenty-second birthday, Lu Shiyan wrapped a tie around his wrists and pinned him against the floor-to-ceiling window of a hotel suite. The most powerful and prestigious man in Jiangcheng’s business world kissed the back of his neck and murmured, “You’re my light. You’ll never escape me in this lifetime.” From then on, the gilded cage closed around him. Lu Shiyan cut off all his contact with the outside world, destroyed his academic future, and locked him in a villa, taking him night after night. Jiang Yubai wept until he broke down. “Lu Shiyan, I hate you!”

Later, Jiang Yubai faked his death and disappeared for good.

Lu Shiyan searched the entire world like a madman, only to spot his light outside a flower shop in a southern town, smiling gently at someone else. At that moment, Lu Shiyan smashed the cage he had built with his own hands. “I’ll set you free.” Eyes red, he knelt in the rain. “But please, look at me one more time.”

Jiang Yubai ran for two years. Lu Shiyan searched for two years.

When he was caught again, he thought he would be imprisoned even more harshly. But the man consumed by obsession trembled as he fastened an anklet around his leg: a diamond anklet fitted with a GPS tracker, with a tiny inscription on the inside:

“Please, don’t leave me.”
