In 1986, a group of young people from Luoyang who dared to be the first in the world formed the China Luoyang Yangtze River Rafting Expedition Team. They were the first to raft the entire length of the Yangtze River, which shocked the whole country. In 1987, this group of people formed the Henan Yellow River Rafting Expedition Team and made their first rafting trip on the Yellow River. They were not afraid of the lack of oxygen on the plateau and bravely climbed to the two sources of the Yellow River, Maqu and Kariqu. They towed the boat in the ice and snow, they struggled with the rapids in the Lajia Gorge, and they took an open boat and rushed through the Hukou Falls, the first dangerous pass in the Yellow River... Unfortunately, four of them died on the Yangtze River, and four more lives were taken away by the Yellow River, including the two captains Lei Jiansheng and Lang Baoluo. The author is a reporter who accompanied the team of Chang Piao and Huang Piao. He spent time with this group of people day and night, and truly described the people who lived in Xiehuo one by one: simple, loyal, generous, righteous, despising hardship, and not afraid of death. Of course, there are also people who have shortcomings of one kind or another.
