In the fifteenth year of the Republic of China (1926), Qingxi, an ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River. Zhou Jingxing, the eldest grandson of the Zhou family, met Chen Xiangyin, a mysterious tea girl on the tea mountain, while investigating strange losses in the family's tea business. She seems to be poor, but she has amazing knowledge about tea; she treats him coldly and distantly, but protects him in the dark time and time again. The two fell in love and killed each other amidst the fragrance of tea and calculations, and finally uncovered a massacre of a family twenty years ago, which also allowed Zhou Jingxing to see clearly the blood and sin behind the glamorous appearance of the so-called aristocratic family.
