Dream of the Red Chamber Besties: An Old Book Connects Two Worlds

With nothing better to do, the protagonist Xu Zhizhi opened a long-forgotten copy of Dream of the Red Chamber at an antique stall and began reading to pass the time. The book suddenly glowed, and Xu Zhizhi appeared inside the Jia household, right in front of Lin Daiyu. After she explained what had happened, Xu Zhizhi discovered by chance that only the people in Xiaoxiang Pavilion could travel in and out of the book with her. Crossing between past and present, they grew close and became best friends who could talk about anything. Xu Zhizhi had been an ordinary college student, raised in an orphanage from a young age. She had thought she was alone in the world, with no parents, but by a twist of fate, her birth parents found her, and she became the daughter of a leading conglomerate in City A. Though her background had changed dramatically, Xu Zhizhi secretly vowed to rewrite Lin Daiyu's ending, so she wouldn't be trapped by love and die after weeping herself dry. After many visits, Lin Daiyu gradually came to trust Xu Zhizhi and treated her like a biological older sister. Lin Daiyu also decided that on the day Jia Baoyu got married, she would take Zijuan and stay with Xu Zhizhi in the modern world forever.
