The work tells the story of Kojiro, a wealthy young man who was abandoned by his family and finds himself in the absurd daily life of Team Rocket.
He formed a strange trio with the violent but gentle Musashi and the human-speaking Meowth. They repeated the failed mission of "being beaten away" every day: stealing Pikachu but being electrocuted, grabbing berries but feeding them to rats, and even sabotaging and saving wild Pokémon.
They seem to be villains, but they hide unknown weaknesses: Kojiro resists the shackles of family marriage, Musashi hides the scars of his shattered dream of stardom, and Meowth bears the loneliness of being rejected by his own kind. When Team Rocket's order to plunder conflicts with their inner goodwill, and when Giovanni's conspiracy to rule emerges, these three "losers" choose to fight the darkness in their own way - using stolen equipment to put out fires, using villain tactics to protect the reserve, and even fighting side by side with their former enemy Xiaozhi.
From the encounter in the trash can to the tour on the airship; from the label of "evildoer" to the transformation of "guardian", they proved in the clumsiest way that even if they are always failing and never perfect, they can still be their own light. This is a legend about bondage, redemption and "not doing business properly". Let me tell you: the villain's turn may be more moving than the hero's appearance.
